Welile ID is a private record-keeping app. One person with a National ID becomes an Anchor and keeps the details of the people in their household in one place.

Welile ID is not a government identity system, is not connected to NIRA, and is not a replacement for a National ID.

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ugandan National ID to create an Anchor profile. You may only add people whose details you are allowed to keep, and you should tell them their details are held here.

You agree to:

• give true and accurate details for yourself and the people you add;
• upload only your own National ID photo and your own selfie;
• keep your Google account secure, since it is the only way into your household;
• not use the app to impersonate anyone or to mislead a bank, agent or officer.

You keep ownership of the photos and details you add. You give us permission to store and display them inside the app so the service can work.

The welcome page may show adverts. We are not responsible for products or services offered by advertisers.

We work to keep the app available, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees. We are not liable for loss arising from someone relying on a Welile ID record as proof of identity.

You may delete your household at any time by asking us. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law.

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. For questions, contact the Welile ID team through the app.
